A Door to European Open Data Portals
The European Data Portal gathers open data from individual countries, while the EU Open Data Portal collects its data from European agencies and institutions. In all, data from the portals consists of more than 800,000 datasets on issues that matter to European citizens. They are particularly useful to journalists concerned with European affairs, and they are freely available for download.
With the Data Search Engine, you can obtain results from the two portals simultaneously, and access factsheets for the datasets with verified links. You can filter the results by category, country or file format. While users enter their search parameters, the tool also offers search suggestions based on the available datasets.
